What does the future of public education mean for our students, our communities, and rural Missouri?
Join Putnam County R-I School District and neighboring North Missouri school districts for an informational Community Town Hall focused on the future of rural public education and how current legislative and funding decisions may impact our schools and communities.
This evening will include:
• An informative presentation about the current landscape of public education in Missouri
• Discussion of school funding and legislative issues affecting rural schools
• A panel of area superintendents sharing local perspectives
• Opportunities for attendees to ask questions and learn more
Public schools are more than classrooms. They are employers, community gathering places, youth activity centers, and an important part of our local economy. Rural schools educate nearly one-fourth of Missouri's students while serving communities across 75% of the state's school districts.
Whether you're a parent, grandparent, business owner, taxpayer, educator, student, community leader, or simply someone who cares about the future of North Missouri, we encourage you to attend.
