Posted Date: 10/30/25 (11:20 AM)

It’s been reported that aroundĀ 650,000 Missourians may not receive their November SNAP (food stamp) benefits due to the ongoing federal government shutdown.
We know this could impact some of our Putnam County R-I families, and we want to remind you that help is available.
šŸŽ Free & Reduced Meals
Families canĀ apply for Free or Reduced-Price School Meals at any time during the school year — especially if your household income has recently changed.
āœ… Apply using the attached document below. (Free and Reduced D-E Instructions and Application)
šŸ“ž Prefer paper? Call or email your child’s school office and we’ll send one home or have one ready for pickup. Or pick one up at Parent-Teacher conferences.
Our goal is simple — to make sure every student has the nourishment they need to learn, grow, and thrive. šŸ’™
We’ll continue to monitor updates from theĀ Missouri Department of Social Services (DSS) and share new information as soon as it becomes available.
Need help with your application? Mrs. Amy Webb, Food Service Secretary or Mrs. Lindsey Hague, At-Risk Coordinator are available to help. Email them for more information: awebb@putnamcountyr1.net or lhague@putnamcountyr1.net
