Valentine’s Day Plans & Procedures for February 14, 2025 💖

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, we want to ensure that celebrations at Putnam County R-I run smoothly and stress-free for everyone. This year, with the retirement of AppleSeeds and a well-oiled process in place, we want to share some important details and reminders for our community about Valentine’s Day deliveries.

🗓️ Delivery Details:

  • All Deliveries: Must arrive at the High School Office between 8:30 AM and 10:00 AM on Friday, February 14, 2025.

  • Storage: Deliveries will be stored in the High School Library before being distributed to classrooms later in the day.

🏷️ Labeling Requirements:

  • Elementary Deliveries: Clearly label with the student’s first and last name, grade level, and classroom teacher.

  • Middle & High School Deliveries: Clearly label with the student’s first and last name, grade level, and 8th-hour class period.

đźšš Delivery Schedule:

  • Elementary: Deliveries will be distributed to classrooms starting at 2:00 PM, during Valentine’s Day classroom parties.

  • Middle & High School: Deliveries will be distributed beginning at 2:45 PM (8th period).

Businesses planning to provide Valentine’s Day deliveries must contact the school at 660-947-3361 to make arrangements. We will work with all approved vendors to ensure deliveries run smoothly the evening before.

Additionally, our Putnam County FCCLA is hosting a Candy and Crush Fundraiser for just $2.00! This fun and affordable way to celebrate will be available from January 31 - February 12. Contact Melody Dickerson or an FCCLA student for more information. Stay tuned for updates on their page!

đź’™ A Thoughtful Reminder:

We understand that Valentine’s Day can be a time of excitement for many students, but we also recognize that not every child may receive a delivery at school. To keep the day joyful and inclusive, we remind families that sending treats or gifts to school is optional. You are welcome to save your special surprises for celebrations at home.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work together to ensure a smooth, organized Valentine’s Day for everyone at Putnam County R-I. Thank you for making our school a place where every student feels supported and valued.

💙 Let’s keep Valentine’s Day fun, kind, and chaos-free! 💙
